Learn More About the Omegasonics Management Team
Frank Pedeflous’ company is a perfect reflection of him – smart, friendly, responsive, creative, detail-oriented and absolutely committed to doing his best for his clients. He offers a balance of an engineer’s mind for innovation and making things work and a comfortable, relationship-oriented nature.
His path to owning and leading Omegasonics started at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) where he graduated in 1981 with a degree in electrical engineering. For 15 years he used his talents as a sales engineer, first at Reliance Electric then selling Allan-Bradley factory automation products to companies in the entertainment, printing, food and beverage, sand and gravel, and petrochemical industries, including Anheuser-Busch, Universal Studios and Disney.
In 1996, Frank felt the pull to be his own boss and saw an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. He purchased a company that used ultrasonic technology to clean window blinds, but he had much more in mind for the technology. As Frank tells it, everyone thought he was crazy going from high-level industrial sales into blind cleaning. But he knew ultrasonic was the cleaning technology of the future and that there was a large potential industrial market waiting to gain access to it. Turns out he was right.
The way his clients and employees tell it, Frank is the lifeblood of Omegasonics. It’s common for clients to get Frank on the phone when you make a sales inquiry or call with a technical question. His energy and enthusiasm make clients happy to do business with him. His commitment motivates his employees to bring the highest level of care and attention to each business relationship. His mind for formulas and product specifics are invaluable to developing creative client solutions.
Frank is considered a leader in the ultrasonic industry and speaks around the world. He thanks you for your interest in Omegasonics products and hopes he gets a chance to talk to you soon.
Joe Gilbert grew up working in the film industry in the 1980s, but it’s his clients, not the soundstage, that truly light him up. That won’t stop him from telling you a few good stories from back then. It’s when he learned about people, customer service and how to build and maintain strong business relationships.
Communication is key. Joe’s father owned a respected sound company and when Joe was a young man they worked together on iconic films like Stand by Me, Steel Magnolias, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. According to Joe, his father was a master communicator. He listened, got to know people and made everyone feel comfortable. Once Joe was ready to strike out on his own, he applied all he’d learned at his own sporting goods store in Ventura and then another in Simi Valley.
In 2003, just as the daily demands of retail began to get to him, a regular customer asked Joe if he’d ever considered working in industrial sales. To give him a taste, the then-Sales Manager invited him to attend the motorcycle industry’s Dealer Expo with the Omegasonics staff. It was at this show he sold his first ultrasonic unit, and within a few weeks Joe officially joined the team.
As I talked with numerous Omegasonics clients, they were all so genuinely excited about what the company had to offer. It was truly contagious. Once I saw the technology for myself and learned about it from a layperson’s perspective, I knew we could back up the talk. With every demo, no matter the size or intricacy of a part, we surprise people with what ultrasonic can do. These are the easiest sales of my life. That initial excitement has never faded.
