The Story Behind our Ultrasonic Cleaner Company
Omegasonics was founded in 1996 on a simple idea – that ultrasonic was the cleaning technology of the future. Though we originally were a small window blind cleaning company, President Frank Pedeflous saw beyond this specialized market. He recognized the potential for growth and innovation in other industries, especially those requiring precision cleaning for high performance. By 1999, the company was in the automotive racing industry then we quickly expanded into motorcycles and power sports. We also worked with disaster restoration companies and developed the first ultrasonic units with controlled time and heat.
Changing times called for sophisticated technology you could actually afford. Over the next few years, some industries faced quickly shifting standards regarding sanitation and chemical use, including ongoing revisions to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. Omegasonics happily stepped forward to help companies meet these new challenges with units that were affordable, effective, chemical-free and met their precise size and power needs. Our team, now growing to meet sales and production demands, was prepared to go to great lengths to make this happen. We frequently customized and retrofitted existing units that weren’t perfectly suited and often built customized components in-house – a regular occurrence even today.
We wanted to make ultrasonic technology accessible to more markets, so we made units that precisely met the needs of each client. No more. No less. Then of course we found these units also worked for other clients and other applications. This helped us create a robust product line we are proud of.

Our technology is green, but there’s no grass growing beneath our feet. Omegasonics’ client list stretches from 3D printing to musical instruments, and nearly half of its business is repeat. Much of this can be attributed to the breadth and depth found within its more than 50 standard units. The rest comes from our eagerness to respond to you and your needs. It’s not unusual for potential clients to hear from us within a minute of contacting us online, and phone calls always are answered by a live person. Once we understand your needs, our team begins strategizing a plan to help. For us that means walking down the hall to bring an engineer, and likely the president, into the conversation. As quickly as we can come up with a solution and write up an estimate, we’re back in touch and ready to start work. Once you have your ultrasonic units we maintain contact to be sure they are working optimally. All service calls are met with urgency and often by the company president himself.
Our products work because we do. Since the beginning, our focus has been on bringing greener, faster and perfectly fitted cleaning technology to a broader market. We’re happy to say that we do just that.
